Who do we help?

Sanctuary Care lends a hand to low income families facing crisis in their lives, which makes it difficult for them to provide adequate care for their children.

Our clients include:

  • Teenage parents needing support

  • Parents facing short term in jail

  • Parents facing financial or accommodation issues

  • Parents having acute medical issues

  • Young parents, grandparents or alternative caregivers who are overwhelmed and require brief respite

Our clients are typically referred by social services agencies within the community, such as hospitals, shelters or family service centres.

The journey through life can be tough. You don’t have to do it alone. Let us walk with you.

If you are a social worker/ community worker and know of any families dealing with short-term difficulties that makes it tough for them to take care of their child well, please refer them to us. Our aim is to offer free support to help families find their footing and to reunite separated loved ones as soon as possible.
