"My children learnt to be more open hearted."
Why be a respite carer? What's in it for me and my family? Let's zero in on these questions with a few of our respite carers.
"The child's smile and well being is worth it for me."
"Don't expect an easy experience. Expect a learning experience. And that is what makes it much more fulfilling. "
Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind
Every day, there is at least one family who is needs a little support to get back up.
Do you have space in your home and heart to care for a child?
We have a diverse community of foster parents hailing from all walks of life. They share a love for children and want to provide children with a safe and happy environment in order to support a family through crisis.
Our first experience as respite carer has brought so much to the family. On the mission to help others, we also helped ourselves. Through providing respite care, I discovered that my daughter has grown up into a sensible child; my husband is such a compassionate and loving person; I am capable of making decisions with both sense and sensibility.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope that more people will open their heart to these children. Give yourself a chance to experience the joy and happiness in life from a whole new perspective
